Massage is the oldest technique of healing through touch.

It is difficult to determine the exact date of the beginning of the massage because for many years it was passed verbally from teacher to student. The first book about massage was written by Agasthya – the father of Ayurvedic massage. Agasthya Samhita is a collection of massage techniques. 1. Marma Massage

Therapy which uses 107 Marma points located in the body. According to Ayurveda, Marma points are special places on the body. Pain that occurs when the points are pressed means that the energy is not circulating well and is blocked somewhere. Therapy aims to unlock those points by restoring the flow of energy in the body. 2. Yogic Massage

The word Yoga is derived from the word “Yuj” – unity of the body, mind and spirit.

Both, physical exercises and massage aim to combine three main meridians : Sushumna, Ida and Pingala. When they are combined we begin to feel the benefits of yoga. During a massage or yoga exercises, it is important to feel at ease and comfortable in the position, and try to remain in it as long as possible. During the massage we stimulate the nerves to release the excess energy from the spine. The massage helps to unblock the flow of energy, manifested in stiffness. When the body is properly stretched the energy will flow freely. Yogic massage prepares the body well for yoga. We especially recommend it for:

4. Abhayanga Massage – therapeutic Ayurvedic full body massage

It is both incredibly relaxing and therapeutic massage which regenerates muscles, releases stress and toxins from the body. Abhyanga is used as part Panchakarma. The massage is performed with warm oil, usually sesame, which deeply penetrates the skin and intensively nourishes it.

The key is to rest one hour after the massage and replenish fluids by drinking water, juices or herbal teas, because then the body gets rid of toxins. It is also recommended to take a bath one hour after the massage, but without soap to avoid washing off of the oil.

5. Shirodhara Massage

Treatment of the nervous system that balances the energy of the mind and the body’s energy. Shirodhara is a procedure which is based on the effectiveness of the reproducibility. Therefore we propose at least 3 series of treatments. It often happens that the first treatment is an opportunity to familiarize ourselfs with a new, unusual therapy, and relaxation comes only during the next sessions. Most preferred is a set of 7 courses. This allows you to feel the full benefits of calming and balancing the nervous system. 6. Kati Vasti massage

This treatment helps in spine healing. It helps with any type of back pain and spinal disorders, stiffness and other problems associated with the spine. Kati Vasti strengthens the back muscles, increases lower part of the spine circulation, strengthens joints, muscles and soft tissues around the spine, also helps bringing them back to their functionality. It relieves numbness caused by compression of the sciatic nerve. Helps with problems with the disc or the knee and shoulder joints.

This treatment has good influence on the emotions, it brings emotional balance and a sense of deep relaxation. Kati Vasti can also be considered as a preventive therapy.
